    Inverness Athletic are on the road this weekend as they make the short trip to Dingwall’s Highland Football Academy to take on Alness United. With only a point separating the two sides this will be another stern test for Shane Carling’s squad, with the winner putting themselves firmly in the driving seat to secure a top four finish. Athletic will be hoping to replicate the result from the only meeting between the sides this season, when they ran out 5-2 winners in Inverness before the Christmas Break.

    The manger will once again be without the services of several of his first team squad for the trip to Dingwall with, Michael Macrobert, Ryan Macleod & Phil Macdonald (injured), Martin Mainland & Calum Black (unavailable). However, Athletic are able to welcome back defender Jamie Fraser, after a long spell out due to work commitments along with midfielder Martin Macdonald who returns from a long injury lay off. Athletic are also able to call on the services of Gary Calvert has made a welcome return to the club, after a spell at Nairn St Ninian JFC, and looks set to keep his place in the match day squad.
