Jock Mackay Memorial Cup, Semi Final
    Inverness Athletic v St Duthus
    Inverness Royal Academy 3G, Inverness
    2.00pm

Its a familiar foe for Athletic this weekend in Inverness, as they welcome St Duthus back to the Highland capital for a semi-final clash, with a place in the Jock Mackay Memorial Cup Final up for grabs.

Shane Carling will be looking for a big response for his side after last weekend dismal league performance at the hands of tomorrows visitors. St Duthus blew Athletic away in 3 second half minutes, when the rattled in three goals, to inflict a first defeat for Athletic at their new home, and take all 3 points back up the A9 to Tain. With a place in the final waiting for tomorrow’s winner, Carling knows that his side will need to be at their best,

“The lads know that last weekend was not good enough. St Duthus are always a physical and hard-working side and we let them control the game last weekend, which should never happen at home, and we ended up getting what we deserved from the match. We have been working hard in training this week and the squad know what we want from them on Saturday. We have also added a couple of new faces this week which will lift the lads and hopefully get us through to our second appearance in the final of this competition.”

The Manager will be without the services of a few regulars for Saturday’s game, Callum Gow, Ross Harrison, Taylor Sutherland, Martin Macdonald and Jack Mackay all miss out. However, Carling is able to welcome back Ryan Dow, Ryan Ingram and Lee Tarran into the match day squad.
