    Halkirk United are the visitors to Inverness this weekend in the Macleod & MacCallum North Caledonian League, as Shane Carling’s side looks to build on last weekends win over Bonar Bridge.

    Athletic welcome Halkirk United to the Inverness Royal Academy on Saturday looking to add to last weekends excellent 5-0 win over Bonar Bridge at Bught Park. That win ended a drastic run of results for Inverness, a run that manager Shane Carling will want to put firmly behind him, as his squad hope to make it back to back home wins this weekend for the first time since the opening two fixtures of the season.

    New Halkirk United Manager Ewan McElroy has had a decent start to his tenure as Manager, guiding his new United side to back to back wins over Bonar Bridge and an impressive away draw against last season Champions Golspie Sutherland.

    Athletic Manager Shane Carling knows his side will have to be on top of their game if they are to secure another three points and build on last weekends win,

    It was good to get back to winning ways last weekend and end the run of defeats. This weekend will be a tough one for us. Ewan seems to have injected fresh life into his squad since he took over and we know that if we want anything from this game tomorrow we will need to work for it. The lads know what we expect from them and it’s over to them now to hopefully get another three points on the board

    The Manager is will again be without a number of players for The Anglers visit, Russell Macintyre, Taylor Sutherland, Calum Black, DJ Macphee and Cameron Maclean all miss out. Inverness are able to welcome back Liam Symonds after his holiday along with Phil Macdonald and Lee Tarran also make welcome returns to the match day squad. Defender Liam Downie will face a late fitness test on Saturday morning.
