  • Pre season continued today for the first team as they welcomed a strong Nairn County side to a damp Pavilion Park in Muir of Ord.

The Highland League side had the lion share of possession throughout the game and would find themselves 1-0 up at half time through an Adam Naismith strike. The score line stayed this way till around the last 10 minutes when Nairn County’s fitness and slick play would tell, as they added a further 4 goals before the final whistle.

The manager has the following to say after the game, “We could not have asked anymore from the players today. We defended fantastically against a well organised and fit Nairn County side. We may have ridden our luck at times but to keep an established Highland League side to just 1-0 till the last 10 minutes of the game tells you how hard our players worked today. We created a couple of chances that we could maybe have done better with but all in all I am very happy with the run out and the attitude of the players. You could tell in the last 10 minutes our fitness and legs went and Nairn’s superiority told with the 4 goals. We will get the lads back into training this week and prepare for next weekend.”

Thank you to Ronnie and his squad and all the best to all at Nairn County for your season when it comes.
