• Gellions 1-1 Inverness Ath
Before tonights match we held a minutes silence in honour of a friend we lost last week and whos funeral was today. Thank you to the Gellions for taking part.
This was our first outing in 2 weeks and it showed as the first half was very flat and we just didnt get going. Gellions matched us man for man and defended very well. We had lots of chances but lacked the calmness to get them on target. 0-0 HT.
The second half was better as we upped the tempo. We got our reward when Owen McGhie burst down the right and fired a cross across the 6 yard box for Logan Dunsmore to somehow get his foot round it and slot in the bottom corner 54mins! Then 2 mins later with poor defending and not tracking runners Gellions scored the equaliser with a fine finish in the bottom corner. The game ebbed and flowed but we just couldnt get out of 2nd gear. A couple of chances one on one and we didnt capitalise. The last 15 mins we pushed for the winner and more dubious to say the least decisions costing us excellent attacking opportunities!
All the best to the Gellions for rest of season.
